What is Stage 1 chiptuning and who is it for?
Stage 1 is the most popular level of chiptuning: more power and torque without changing any parts. Here's how it works and what to expect.

What is Stage 1?
Stage 1 is a software calibration of the engine control unit (ECU) on a car with factory hardware. No parts are changed – parameters such as fuelling, boost pressure and ignition timing are optimised.
What to expect
- Turbocharged engines typically gain 15–30% more power and an even bigger torque increase
- Stronger mid-range pull and sharper throttle response
- With relaxed driving, fuel consumption often stays the same or drops slightly
Naturally aspirated engines gain less, since there is no boost pressure to adjust.
Who is it for?
Stage 1 is the best choice for a daily driver when you want more power for overtaking and towing without compromising reliability. The car needs to be in good condition, which is why we always run diagnostics before remapping.
Can it be reversed?
Yes. The original file is saved and the factory software can be restored at any time.
